How To Get Rid Of Belly Fat For Teens


My name is Nick Mitchell. I’m a personal trainer
in London. I own a gym called Ultimate Performance and here in this gym, we train everybody from
pop stars ad soap stars to professional athletes and lots and lots of regular people in the
art and science of body composition. Those teenagers amongst who are watching this
and have issues with belly fat, first of all, I want you to ask yourself possibly a hard
question. Do you really have a fat belly? Or are you buying into the media hype that
you’ve got to have a super it six-pack or you’ve got to look like a supermodel. If you
really have a problem with belly fat and you’re a teenager, you need to take a long long long
hard look at yourself. I’m going to tell you how it really is. I’m
not going to tell you what you want to hear. You want to hear, “Oh, it’s hormonal. ” You want to hear, “Oh, it’s because
I’m not eating the right type of bread. I’m eating the wrong type of pasta. My mom feeds
me the wrong color of tomatoes or something. ” None of these is true. The reason why
you’ve got a problem with being fat is because you drink too many Cokes. You drink too many
fizzy drinks. You drink orange juice and you think it’s
healthy. You don’t exercise or you think exercise is playing on your playstation or your Nintendo
and you know, wagging your stick or whatever it is that you guys do, none of these is exercise.
Exercise is going out or going to the gym and getting out of breath. So the reason why there are now so many teens
who are not just having an issue with belly fat but also obese, is because their diet
just quite simply sucks. The diet is pretty simple. You would just eat healthy food, healthy
nutritious food, don’t eat a Mars bar, eat an apple. Don’t have three bowls of Coco Pops, have
some bacon, have some eggs, that’s fine. Don’t eat half a loaf of bread and process margarine
and some strange thing in a sandwich. Have a piece of meat. Have a piece of chicken. If you can’t afford
it, if you’re a student, if you’re 18, 19, and a student and you have to watch your pennies,
then be sensible. Eggs aren’t really that expensive. They’re not. I know you can eat a lot of McDonald’s
for they’re very very cheap but you know it’s not good for you and that doesn’t make you
feel good. Aside from the diet, look into your exercise. Look at your exercise, you don’t have to walk
into going into a gym and become Conan, you don’t want to have to do anything like that.
You just have to do some regular exercise whether it’s playing football, going for a
run, running with the dog, it doesn’t matter what it is. Start doing some exercise. You will also find that if you’re a student,
that your brain functions better when you’re exercising. It’s been proven scientifically
time after time again. I’m afraid you can’t come up any magic tracks for the problem of
teenage belly fat. It’s really about basic common sense and just
going out and doing it really looking in the mirror. If you don’t like what you see, it’s
not going to change unless you get up there and help yourself. .

  14. Im a little girl 10 yrs and I go out biking play basketball tennis and hockey I lost 2 pound within a week (only biking tennis and basketball) Im pretty happy and eating healthy Im just getting started on my journey through a healthier life 😊

  15. I try and none of the workouts i have tired have worked. And it's hard for me to do a lot of running, cause i have a problem with my knees. I don't feel comfortable being like this.

  17. This is bs I eat healthy play football and go to the gym at time and still I got fat hanging down my stomach and I know I'm on a pretty decent diet eating a lot of veggies and good protein I eat some fat but just not to much I just end up looking bulky instead of ripped or anything like that

  19. Wow i dont drink soda or any energy drinks that often a mostly eat veggies i workout for an hour a day and i go out side as mutch as possable and i im still 240 at the hight of 5 4" at the age of 16 so maybe it can be hormonal

  21. I've been trying to lose belly fat for a while and what he said about why I'm "fat" really angered me.
    I don't drink to many "cokes" or "fizzy drinks", I'm actually on a strict diet.
    And I do exercise, 3 times a week, 1-2 hours in my local gym.
    I've been trying to lose weight for 2-3 months but it's not shifting.
    I've tried everything.
    So before you say we don't do anything about, make sure you think about it because a lot of people, including I, do try to lose weight or get healthier.

All I eat in a day is a bowl of 3 wheatbix and for dinner I have the size of my two fists of whatever my mum makes and if I don't like the food I won't eat anything. I also do extra exercise at home and I cannot eat oily foods, lollies or soft drink because they all make me sick and since my family is prone to diabetes we don't buy any junk food. But I am bigger than all the other girls my age and older, so I'm not sure why someone plz explain

  27. I watched a video earlier, and actually eating "healthy" food isn't good for you, they inject toxins into them that actually makes belly fat stay around your belly.

  28. 1) I only drink water (the rest is gross to me) 2) the only meat I eat is chicken and the occasional stake 3) I work out daily for about 2hrs but I still have a problem with belly fat idk what I'm doing wrong! I eat reasonable portions and do everything people have recommended

  31. for everyone who is saying in the comments that they: eat healthy, exercise and you still have belly fat there might be other reasons for your muffin tops. Maybe your portions are too big, you're a teenager and you might grow into it and in some sad situations you might have problems with your health that are leading to problems with weight. Either way, don't take what he says to heart too seriously and your weight in no way defines who you really are.

  32. My parents don’t let me run or go to a park because there a lot of sexual predators in our neighborhood it sucks😪 I don’t really drink soda or fizzes, I stress eat and I’m only 13
